The Last of Us part II theories

I am a big fan of theories. Sort of. Especially of things that I love or that I’m interested in. The Last of Us definitely fits that. Since I finished that game earlier this year, I have been on a zombie bender. I am currently watching The Walking Dead and it is phenomenal. I remember trying to watch this show a couple of years ago but I wasn’t able to get into it.

Going back to The Last of Us, I have been looking for any new news on the game. I am super excited for this game to come out, even though it’s not going to be good for my anxiety.

If you haven’t seen the trailer for this game, where have you been? Just kidding but I will include it below so that you are able to watch it.

There is also some game play from Paris Game Week in 2017 that I will include as well because we are introduced to new characters.

February 2020?

In an interview with Between the Sheets, Ashley Johnson, the voice of Ellie, let slip that the game would be in “Feb—”. Of course, the world may never know because the interviewer interrupted her at that moment.

After she let that slip, Ashley Johnson let it be known on her Instagram that the release date was for February 31 and October 32, according to the Comicbook website.

Johnson has ‘been saying February 31st and October 32nd for years and everyone is acting like it’s real. I stand behind those dates because they’re definitely real.’

According to a Digital Trends article, Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker wrapped up motion capture performances in April 2019.

Most ambitious game

So, Troy Baker is our beloved Joel in The Last of Us and he has been dropping some bombs recently.

One of them being how ambitious this game is. In an interview done with Push Square that was reported by The Daily Star, Troy Baker stated that the game is going to be large.

I can tell you this: it’s hands down the most ambitious game that Naughty Dog has ever done for sure. It’s far larger than I thought was going to be possible.

Troy Baker also told Push Square that the voice actors were kept in the dark for part two of The Last of Us since there was an incident with the first The Last of Us and they slipped. I haven’t been able to find the incident that he talks about but if you know what it is, leave it in the comments below.

At the moment, there are so many theories that are flying around as to when the game is going to be coming out but there is no concrete information as to when it’ll actually be released because Sony and Naughty Dog hasn’t released anything yet. They’ve been pretty quiet about the release date for this game.
